LAB GROWN DIAMOND : YOU WILL RECKON WITH IT!
Lab grown diamond versus natural diamond. What if both could co-exist? This is what is cooking for the years to come.

6 million carats
In 2020, 6 million carats of lab grown diamonds (which crystallization is identical to the natural ones) came out f the oven, solely produced out of carbon, exposed to high temperature and high pressure. Till 2030, we estimate 19.2 million carats being produced. This is far from absurd considering the fascination from the very young ones. Despite this growth, we are far from the 140-150 million carats of diamonds extracted from the bowels of the earth, where the stone took birth billions of years ago without any human contribution.
Christelle MICHEL, DFLY co-founder, was a gemology expert, educated at the HRP in Antwerp, a reference in natural diamond : 'the tipping point happened when I mistook two lab grown diamonds with natural ones. What a wake-up call'. Indeed, only a special machine is capable of detecting the the difference!
